Hello All,
I have recently joined FIS Global around end of April. My mother recently met with an accident and she needs to be operated.
I haven't been able to update the anything regarding the insurance part yet on FIS portal.
Will my mother's treatment be covered under the insurance? If yes, what's the procedure for the same? What are the documents that I need to submit in order to claim the amount?
Can anyone please guide?

The lifetime costs of my dogs would barely make a dent in my taxes assuming deductible all in one year. Coming home to my dogs everyday...priceless...most of the time anyway.
There are very, very big differences between service animals, therapy dogs and ESAs. Be very clear on what you’re intending here to ensure that you qualify for the type of animal you’re looking for and the associated tax benefits (or lack thereof) of that demarcation.
Umm what? Really asked this question?
OP you didn't ask that in your original question.
Per Pub. 502 “You can include in medical expenses the costs of buying, training, and maintaining a guide dog or other service animal to assist a visually impaired or hearing disabled person, or a person with other physical disabilities. In general this includes costs such as food, grooming, and veterinary care incurred in maintaining the health and vitality of the service animal so that it may perform its duties.”
Keep in mind though these are expenses that exceed 7.5% of your AGI. Plus it’s written based on old fashioned “guide dog” rules and not new age “service animals” where you can bring practically anything on an airplane.
FYI for your research purposes, a therapy animal is intended for many people through volunteerism— I think you mean ESA or service animal in this context.
