I'm an Account Director at a creative agency and was recruited for a Sales position at Salesforce. The preliminary questionnaire entails lots of questions around quotas and achievements. My agency doesn't provide quotas. And because my role is post-sales not sure how I would even formulate this metric. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm not even sure if I want to go into sales but really don't want to pass up an opportunity at Salesforce. Thank you kind people.

How many years into your career did you start to feel jaded about the industry? I only have 4 years under my belt and still believe it’s fun and challenging, but I see so much negativity on here.

Right so here’s a bit of a dilemma I work to a much higher standard at home and it’s this high standard that means I’m in line for a promotion. I’ve grown so much and I feel really strong in my role I’m also busier than ever. The problem is we’re going back into the office and I don’t want to go in if it’s just going to be senior management in asking me to get them lunches for client meetings or fetch a glass of water and cutlery for meeting rooms. Transitioning to become an AE - how often do you guys typically travel (pre-covid)?

Anyone else finding it very difficult to get any enjoyment out of account management these days? Any coping tips? I feel like being an account person is especially difficult in the COVID era since so much of what we do is manage communications, ensure the team is set up well etc. None of this feels particularly fun alone staring into the void of Zoom all day ... but the same pressure is still there. I feel like I spend every week counting down to the weekend which kinda sucks.
