I’m an Account Manager and was signed on at 95k base,120k OTE (wound up making 140k year 1). I didn’t get a raise after attaining 150% quota but did get a 17k bonus… I’m already at 60% attainment in year 2 after quota was raised 120%.

Question: assuming I exceed quota in year two - how do I go about pushing for a raise? And if it’s not given, do I give an ultimatum or take my skills elsewhere? I’m extremely happy with WLB, culture, etc… so it would really hurt to leave.

Is it common to negotiate software engineer salary at smaller companies? I know it’s common at FAANG, but what about for companies with around 200 engineers? I have a counter offer from my current company and on-site interviews scheduled for end of July with google and Amazon, but I’d prefer to go with the smaller local company if I can negotiate the salary (from offer letter) up another 5% or so.

Tips for 6-month eval? Originally hired at 35K as assistant and was told if I performed well, I could expect to make 50K after a year. After one week, the operations manager resigned and I took over as a trial. Officially am operations manager, but no title (only verbal) and no raise. Owner likes benefits over big pay raises. Thinking about asking for 46K, new cellphone and official title change. I'm expecting some negotiating, which I've never done. 24F, AA Bus Admin, and overall good employee
