I’m an introvert in consulting. I get along well with my teams but have found that when projects get busy my social battery plummets and I have zero motivation to network and meet new people. I’ve received feedback that Im doing great work I just need to ‘talk myself up more’ and promote myself. I love the diversity of consulting but I know you can only go so far before your role basically just turns into sales.
Are there any introverts that have gone the distance in consulting? Any advice?

A director in another unit wants to meet me to “continue a conversation we started last year”. He is referring to the time I had asked him if there were openings on his team. That was over a year ago. I am not too happy where I am right now ( I stayed where I was). I also don’t know if he really has an opportunity or if this is just some corporate circle jerk where my current director is trying to “smoke me out”. I don’t speak poorly of my team/work. How would you approach this conversation?

Regular Ed teachers may have students (mild Learning Disabled kiddos) in their room while teaching. Help,I started a new career n the events industry and I think I have to quit! The person I report to is so disorganized and there are no other managers in the office to direct day to day operations of our department. On day 2 I was asked to go to a job site and perform a 12 hour day without any training, safety equipment or tools. On day 3 I was asked back to site to do general labor!
