I'm at the point of my career where I'm trying to decide whether I want to stay in audit or go into industry. I heard one interesting reason for me to stay in audit - that public accounting tends to let you work more independently and that you're micromanaged less. In general, I'd say most of my bosses aren't micromanagers which I appreciate - being micromanaged is horrible when it happens though. My question is do people tend to be micromanaged more outside of public accounting?

Who told you that was a pro to stay in PA?

like

Someone who ended up having to deal with micromanagers in house, not sure if the industry made a difference though - financial services.

If anything I'm micromanaged less, but it varies by company and role

like

Been in industry since 2008 and the only micromanager boss I've had came from PA. Industry is much more chill. People just care that you get your work done, and done well.

The other would mean taking a year off work and pursuing the LL. M, Thanks for help
