Larsen & Toubro Infotech Hello Everyone I want to know the work life balance in LTI. I've heard that the culture is like BPO you've to spend 9 hours in the office even if your work is completed. They are very much strict about timings. If you're login time is 10 it should be 10 if you login at 10:15 you need manager approval. The projects are also of supports? I'm selected as Java developer in Lymbyc(LYM) Bu. Please it would be really helpful if you guys give me some insight especially Larsen & Toubro Infotech L&T Techn

Do what the people who pay you tell you to do.
I was going to post this! 😂
Who is pressuring you, exactly? If your employer is going to Gsuite why would they give you a choice?
That being said if you do actually have a choice it’s Excel for sure. So many more bells & whistles and the enterprise Add-in ecosystem is generally better
For me it would just be a straight up no. Google sheets is so dumb by comparison to Excel.
omg yes, resist at all costs
It's a computer program, keep it in your pants
I do my formulas/work in excel then upload to google sheets when needed.

We use both with work 🤷 and excel through chrome (not the app). I just do what I'm told 🤣 since I'm an employee and don't care as long as I get paid.
Do you trust Google’s privacy terms?! 😂
Use MS-Teams and Excel with Sharepoint
Real work is done in Excel
Real work can be done in Qpro too
Make the rational choice, and if you go with Sheets, it just becomes another skill on your profile/resume.
You can real time collab in excel too
It’s not as good. I have extensive experience with each. But it’s better in every other way.
Depends on what you're doing. If it's only basic calculations like a few tables with formulas in it then it's annoying but not a problem.
If it's more then I'd resist and argue that it's more effort to provide assurance which is exponentially more difficult when you have a dozen people using it at any given time.
Nobody likes to comprise assurance so it should be an easy argument.
Worst case I'd just query the data into Excel anyway and do what I need there. Just because your source data is in Google doesn't mean you have to work in it.
I will not sacrifice Excel.
We've made too many compromises already, too many retreats.
Gsuite invades our space and we fall back. They assimilate entire companies and we fall back.
The line must be drawn here!
This far! No further!
Honest, it should not matter, you do what is best at the time. Flexibility and the ability to use new tools is better than sticking with your favorite.

I would say learning new skills can only help you grow. Embrace it.
I've used both.
Google sheets in a "dumb down" version of excel for sure.
But i learned to be proficient in both. But personally prefer excel
I do not like it but have no choice as that is how we share files. The keystrokes are different. You get used to it. Sort of. lol
Just do it in excel and upload to sheets
