I’d try it and move back as your personal life evolves
It’s time to do some soul searching and figure out who you want to be in 10 years. Pick the path that helps you get to that point. If you’re unsure, talk with your SO and figure out if you want to take the risk and try something new.
$50k is a lot of money, but it sounds like it comes with an opportunity cost. Don’t get caught up with the numbers.
@OP, are you keen to know what's on the other side? If so, there's no harm in switching to an integrative role and seeing how it is.
More than the WLB hit will be the constant pressure you'll be under.
Those things are all true. Integrative and up-or-out pressures make people behave in strange ways. But again, if you're curious - perhaps they'd let you try a study before shifting full-time.

I think you got a great thing going! If you’re looking for something more challenging I’d just try out some side hustles!
I grew up around kids of M-Th traveling consultants and my dad was one himself. To put it briefly, I think it to be a terrible idea.
