I’m in a non-trad consultant role. It’s closer to project management. I work from home, like the people I work with, and the work is generally low stress. But it’s not intellectually challenging.

I have an oppy to shift over to an integrative role (more trad consultant role, traveling M-And Th). I would get paid 50k more and learn a lot…but WLB would get thrown out the window.

At the same time, I’m (31F) married and have a dog. Maybe kids later. What would you do in my situation?

I’m retiring this year and if anyone is looking to relocate, full time ESOL teacher opening available in my school district.

What are your strategies for completing work efficiently? How do you figure out how long projects should take? A consistent piece of feedback on my yearly reviews has been that I over-bill & spend too much time on assignments. It’s something I actively work on, but I still have no concrete sense of how long I should spend on basic tasks (e.g., drafting a motion to dismiss). My firm is right to expect that I manage my time better as a mid-level associate. WFH has made my time management worse.

1. I was on bench in my company since April 2022, So since may I was started looking for the opportunities for better pay but didn't got any offer still attending interviews.
