I'm interested in finance roles outside of accounting. Is the CFA worth pursuing if I don't have a pure finance background?

I started a company just under 1 year ago. We sell a product via ecom channels and have done ~100K in revenue with a 60% gross margin.

The first 6 months I was working a full time job. I quit my job to focus on the business full time, and have since depleted my readily available capital. I’m bootstrapping the business with my own funds. I was recently offered a job in my old industry for 80K per year. I was previously making 62K.

Should I take the job?

How can I shift to data science role in Accenture ? Is there any options available for up-skill ? And is it possible to move from operations to other areas ?

Does anyone have any good (free) resources for construction detailing. I’m trying to move up in my career but struggling due to lack of mentorship//training (staff shortage, everyone is busy) I’m rarely taken on construction sites, and if I am It’s because I pushed for it. I’m a woman and often feel like people are rooting for me to fail or “man splaining.” I’m in the process of getting licensed - just having a hard time getting the actual experience I need to feel competent.

Hello, I’m current a Cyber Security Incident Responder but I’m a little unclear on what path to take in terms of certs/career path. What should I aim for? I current have a CompTia Security + cert and Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin. I’d also prefer the blue team or purple team.

Is the CPA designation worth it? For me it would take me 1 year of PREP courses and 2 years of PEP until i can write the CFE. And I am 27 years old right now. Also wondering if it would be crazy to pursue the CPA while learning how to code to be a developer as well?

I work with great people. Really can’t say anything bad about my firm in general either. But…I still dislike the entire premise of law firm life, the billable hour, etc.. I’d love to work in a law school setting as a counselor or something but I can’t afford the pay cut. *sigh* Does anyone feel like being a lawyer is just doing homework all day? A topic I'm seeing debated is in the area of finding DevOps work or staffing those roles. Should "DevOps roles" be a specialty to be hired for, or just additional responsibilities for an existing dev or engineer to take on as-needed?

Just began studying for the CFE exam. I have access to past editions of the ACFE Fraud Examiners Manual. Does anyone have recommendations on where to get good practice questions? I’d like to avoid spending a fortune on the ACFE kit.

Specialist roles aside, such as digital, when you see someone describing themselves as a “generalist marketer” is this a resume you’d pass on? Should you discuss salary range with an internal company recruiter prior to setting up an interview? With external recruiters it’s pretty easy to talk about the expected range.
