I’m interviewing at Facebook and the recruiter asked me to choose between working at the local office (Boston) or remotely (I believe for the NY office). I’m curious how these options would compare as far as growth opportunities, benefits and total compensation. Thoughts?

Oh that's tough. I would think that guesstimating: the Boston office in person is pretty equivalent to the NY office remotely if I was taking a wild guess. It would be if you were doing NY remotely vs onsite that might mae a difference in comp?

We are remote now (at least my team) so I really don't know for a company that hasn't gone all in, but I would wait and see what they say for each...I do think onsite people typically get paid more, but like PM1 said, those cities are two different "levels" in terms of tc. Maybe they have a "remote" range that's the same for anywhere and onsite ranges that are specific to each place. Sorry I don't know more.

Your comp is the same, so it depends on where if you want to work remote or not.

How is the work life balance in Citi?

Here is the scenario: Have 2 offers from IT MNCs and 1 from Citi. Citi's offer is the highest. Almost 5 lakhs diff in the fixed component. Although money is important, but I am also seeking a little balance with life. I was previously in ZS Associates and to be frank, life was hell. I am not looking to relive that phase again.
What are the daily actual working hours?
Shall I join Citi or let go it for a lower package offer?

Interesting all the noise about these PPT, my take:

The pandemic took all the upside of an IB analyst life (client meetings in person, fancy trips, suit up, worshiped at networking events) and left all the juniors with the downside (long hours, monkey-like type of job, aggressive work environment).

Not that the complaints are not sort of legitimate but you may need to revise the decision-making process that led you to accept a return offer. Specially if you were looking for less hours.

Hi everyone. I’m a front end software engineer. I’m interviewing next week for a solutions engineer at a company I really like, which I mistakenly applied for as I saw they needed ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML/CSS. Upon reading the job description, it’s clear I will be doing a lot of sales and client consulting over actually coding. I know they have a FE SWE role open. How would you approach asking the recruiter if there are any SWE openings I could be considered for instead ?
