How is FTI compare to Accenture?
Is HARMAN really recruiting for permanent remote roles? Would they ask us to come to office after sometime? I am a bachelor woman supporting my sickly parents and can't move them out of city. And my city don't have harman office. HR did mention permanent remote, still want to confirm as I've heard many cases people were called back across different product based companies. If you've got the drive and some skill this should be easier for you than most. As copywriters, the biggest issue starting out is finding someone to design your campaigns. You can do that yourself! Come up with 5 good ones and pop em in a portfolio and you'll be sitting pretty. Also, the ability to think visually isn't something every writer has, you could be wayyyy ahead of the game. Also, once you do the work for your portfolio, talk to your agency, they might be receptive to you switching roles!
Agreed. It sounds like you already have the skills you need. I would make a portfolio and start reaching out.
Get some headlines in your book and start applying for jr copywriter jobs.
I went the other way, from copywriting to art direction. I went back and got my BFA, and I wish I had at least tried to switch before sinking 4 years into a degree.
Yeah for sure you don't need a degree! Good point ACD2
Create a portfolio, whether it's work you've done or samples you've created. If they like your work, someone will hire you for it.
