Seems silly to move if you are so close and so confident.
PS I did come to Platinion as a director and it was the best decision i made with significantly higher comp at a faster rate
PLA is perform or out not up or out so no progression guaranteed
As a recruiter said, everyone is on partner track until you aren’t.
What do you value in your work?
Don’t do it

Partners are becoming increasingly rare and they are forcing people to be MDs. Take platinion
This phenomena is also happening in many big law firms. Don’t stay anywhere where they won’t give you access to equity.

Platinion sounds like advisory. Sounds to me like they don’t have the pyramid structure to deliver large projects

Don’t do it. One in the hand is worth two in the bush. 20% is a small gain for long-term loss/uncertainty.

D1 - At PwC, it’s opposite. Firm is more interested in making Partners than MDs
What would be your pay increase in %?
I don’t think the move to a new company is worth it unless you don’t like your work at Deloitte.
If youre really 3 years to partner then you would have to be a somewhat tenured SM that would be leveled DOWN to Platinion M? That seems foolish.
Or you are an M right now at Deloitte looking to lateral over here, in which case you aren’t 3 years to partner and as an M have zero certainty or guarantee of partner. MDs are by and large who gets promoted at D now and even that is far from guaranteed
Thanks I think that’s a good point, nothing if guaranteed

If you’re truly in a fast track at D it makes no sense. If you aren’t confident then move but I’d stay. Switching makes it harder to get in line there for partner track too, less tenure there. Granted moving in at M gives you a little more runway but I can’t imagine anyone truly close to partner would sacrifice that
It depends, if you put a cost/value to your ego then don’t move. You will loose all your medals and will be stripped from your uniform. You will have to earn them again.
