One would think that the third interview would be a formality and a chance to meet people and that sort of thing. Hoping that's the way it goes for you. I personally think they should be able to figure someone out in two interviews, and the third one shouldn't be an obstacle at all.
Yes but unfortunately these days for higher level roles including Sr Solution Architect roles - a lot of interviews are 4 rounds. They want Mgr/Dir/VP to get to interview you plus another Director in another adjacent Dept. I have also done presentations and mock Q&A scenarios.
Many others have reported 5-6 rounds but that has gotten ridiculous these days.
Not in today's market. I have had upwards of five interviews for some recent positions, but they were also still talking to other folks, and it ends up as "we like you, but this person is a better fit at this time".
Can’t even tell you how many times they said that to me!
nah i wouldnt
Nope! I’ve been through several interviews in the past two months (4 plus rounds) crickets
I would suggest asking during your time for questions what other qualities or attributes they see in others interviewing for the position that you may not have been able to express already. Their answer should give you a good read on where they're at in the process.
That's a great interview question!
No. I recently went to a third interview, and received the, "Thanks for your time...." email later that week. It's not guaranteed till you clock in the first day.
Rising Star
Exactly. Remember they aren't family. They don't care about you just their profits.
I made it through four interviews--twice--and got rejected at the end.
Never!
I had 7 interviews one place, and a background check, and a panel review
Sounds like Google.
I had 6 interviews recently for one company but it seems that within tech 5-6 interviews are the norm. So deffo don’t count yourself hired yet.
Have you qualified how many stages there are in the process?...Sales 101
I'm a Sales Engineer - but I always have at least 3 interviews for ANY position I'm looking at (And it's still not certain that I have the job).
Mine are likely a bit different - but I usually see at least:
Interview with Recruiter
Interview with Hiring Manager
Interview & Discovery with Team Member
Demo of solution.
I once was interviewed 14 times. I was unemployed at the time, so I withstood it, but if I were working, I would have kicked them to the curb.
No sir
But I hope you are hired
It's ridiculous the amount of hoops they make us jump through these days for a job. But I would say use ChatGPT and use a good prompt in your prompt to the A.I. so that it gives you good questions to ask at the end of the interview and also research using ChatGPT, the kinds of questions you may be asked during this phase of the hiring process and how to answer those questions. It has worked for me!
What kind of job are you applying for?
