Should I brushing up my resume?

Hii Guys, Could anyone give me some clarity on the below point. I have cleared 2nd round of technical interview at Deloitte, but my candidature is still showing as interview in progress at Deloitte careers page. I had a discussion with HR on this and she told me that next process is pending from management side. It's been almost 10 days since from 2 nd round of interview. How much more time does it gonna take, any idea? Or is it normal. Please help me with this 🙏🙏 .Deloitte

One would think that the third interview would be a formality and a chance to meet people and that sort of thing. Hoping that's the way it goes for you. I personally think they should be able to figure someone out in two interviews, and the third one shouldn't be an obstacle at all.
Yes but unfortunately these days for higher level roles including Sr Solution Architect roles - a lot of interviews are 4 rounds. They want Mgr/Dir/VP to get to interview you plus another Director in another adjacent Dept. I have also done presentations and mock Q&A scenarios.
Many others have reported 5-6 rounds but that has gotten ridiculous these days.
Not in today's market. I have had upwards of five interviews for some recent positions, but they were also still talking to other folks, and it ends up as "we like you, but this person is a better fit at this time".
Can’t even tell you how many times they said that to me!
Never consider yourself hired until you’ve signed the offer sheet.
After a third date, would you consider yourself married?
Rising Star
If she's wealthy!
Absolutely not. I am in technology sales and have had upwards up 12 interviews at several different very reputable organizations.
I also had an offer before and they had to rescind because of a re-org.
Never consider yourself hired until the contracts are signed and the background checks are done.
Not at all! Dont let your guard down - assume you’re competing with 1 or more other finalists.
Also do you know if the 3rd round is the final round?
I lost out after a 4th and final round interview before.
Nope
Nope. You don't know what they are thinking.
Not until the written offer.
The other nine candidates are also on the third round so you have a 90% chance of losing. It’s never official until they let you in the building on day one of the new role.
Nope. I do wish you the best. However, it can go against you if they also have an internal candidate. If you don’t get the spot. You can try and ask for a debrief.
this day and age is so strange when it comes to companies actually being forthcoming in their priorities. even jobs that people are hiring for are just building a bench and they hire no one. Im with the person who said not until an offer letter is in your hand.
Nope
Absolutely not. Some organizations go way beyond 3 interviews before making an offer. Did you ask them what their selection process consists of, and how many steps there are? This is a question you should ask during the first call. Then you would have a better idea of where you stand at this point. If you were on a sales call, wouldn't you ask the prospect about their decision making process and criteria, as part of Discovery? Job interviews are also sales calls in a sense. And asking those questions not only gives you the opportunity to gain information regarding expectations for the rest of the process, it also demonstrates sales aptitude. Companies should outline the steps in the hiring process when scheduling the first interview, but many don't so it's up to us to find out.
Exactly right! I had a 1st meeting and was told to book a certain flight to Omaha after coming to an explicit agreement this was a great match.
Before I left, I asked their HR for an offer letter having already booked a flight (my mistake). She said there is no job offer this is a group interview. I would have flown from SFO to Omaga with lay over for a f-----g group interview!
No self-videos! We're not auditioning for a Broadway play.
As a sales manager, YOU know there is no sale until the ink dries!
Nope.
I have seen people go through six rounds of interviews only to then be told they are not a good fit. I would not consider myself hired until the ink was dry on my signed offer letter lol. Sadly being on your third interview doesn't mean much except just that, being on your third interview ha.
You’re almost there, most of the time the more interviews it just means that they’re stalling due to the person in the current role yet to leave.
I believe you’re in the same situation as I am. When I asked my HR recruiter how many gate keepers there were, she mentioned that usually there’s two more after the initial phone interview, but they would sometimes just shorten it to one interview. I managed the second interview well and they actually asked me to come to a third with the head of department.
If you know who you’re interviewing with, and it happens to be your direct management, I think it’s a good chance to review your skills and strengths so you’re prepared for the meeting, remember, it’s also an opportunity for you to get a feel of the managers work culture and whether you can have an open discussion with them. Will they listen to you and be curious about your background or will they just keep talking about how the company is doing so well etc. when you haven’t even accepted the position, likely the latter raises red flags because they’re not hiring you, but the role they’re dreaming of filling in their minds.
A good company will understand that the perfect person does not exist and achieving a high performing team requires mutual goals and cultural openness to adversity.
Good luck with the third interview!
No. It's likely just part of their process. I had a job interview a few years ago, that took two months. Well worth the job, as back in 2015 $50,000 was great pay for sales. I had one initial interview a phone interview, then another phone interview, then another phone interview. Then finally they brought me in to do a four hour panel interview. Along with reading comprehension, tests, sales, scenarios, and role-playing. During that four hours, I almost got up and walked out couple of times. It was a stupidest process I've ever been involved in.sometimes they just want to watch the monkey dance.
4 hour panel interview?!
NEVER assume. I accepted a position 6 weeks ago, and quit my job, only to have them tell me their Q2 growth was slow and I would have to wait until Q3 to start the role. Absolute BS, but I learned my lesson.
