I accidentally overshared information about having anxiety and trouble focusing with someone who is kind of important at the company and now I regret it. She never responded and probably forgot about it but my husband told me that I shouldn’t have done that and I shouldn’t share things like that with people at work unless you are really close with them and now I’m freaking out and crying because I’m scared she will remember that and tell my boss or other higher up people.

When I was a teenager, my mom was convinced I was doing drugs and would go through my stuff (she thought I didn't know). So whenever I got a bad grade, I hid the test in a box in my closet because I knew she would go TSA in my bag. One day, she raided my closet (still searching for drugs) and found a box filled with bad grades. So she thought that in addition to being a crackhead I was going to flunk high school.

If you’re at a big 4, how did you deal with the strict independent requirements upon marriage? Did you have your spouse sell their investments? I can hold myself back from buying restricted investments but can’t imagine telling my spouse to sell their investments.. esp. since I’m in a specialty tax group and don’t even touch the restricted accounts (if they’re even a client).

Anyone here have a selfish sibling who only cares about themselves and sucks up to parents? But treats you like shit? Mine is polite and jovial in front of others, especially my parents, but wouldn't lift a finger if I was dying. As the older one, it pisses me off because I've done so much for them in our younger years but now get treated like crap since he is the baby and the favorite. I would have preferred we had got a dog and I kept the other half of the inheritance. So frustrated.

I feel like a champ today. I woke up late at 9:30 am, but billed 11 hours, managed to work out for 40 minutes, took a 1 hour break for coffee break in the evening and another 1 hour for dinner. Spoke to my family on FaceTime 2 times. Had a shower and washed my hair. Now waiting for my partner to come to bed. It’s late (1:30 am) but I’m reading a few pages of a book for the first time in forever. Tomorrow might be different but I’ll try to make it like today. I feel like a champ!

My wife often calls me by 5:45/6 to ask where I am if I’m not headed home yet. Sometimes she’s stressed with kids/dogs/dinner and really wants me home. This really throws off my concentration because it makes me feel rushed. Like many practices sometimes I’m out at 5:30, other times it’s much later. Just depends and is unpredictable. Any advice on how to approach this?
