If you can stick it out until you go on maternity leave, do that. Start looking for something else now and continue when you are on leave. Your company is not investing in your team-no matter how hard you work- and there is no indication that will change.
If you can’t get people above you to realize the severe staff shortage and hire people with relatively minimal effort, know that they business is telling you what they value. And it isn’t you or your team. It’s not worth fighting to save them from themselves.
Sorry to hear this, I hope things will get better. Definitely, prioritize your and your baby's health. In the next few weeks, align and set expectations with your stakeholders and partner teams on what your team can reasonably do, especially with you taking on maternity weeks and what your team can do while you're on leave.
I would be glad to lend an ear just for you to vent to if you need it.
Agree with everything said here. Try to set manageable expectations and stick it out for the weeks you have left. Look for something new any spare moment you can get. It’s always tough to be in such a difficult situation while pregnant.
Thanks for the support 🙏
Check out @mamattorney on instagram for legal resources - you may be able to get paid time off BEFORE your due date, especially if your working environment is impacting your health, which seems to be the case. She also has guidance for getting months of additional leave beyond your company’s standard mat leave allowance.
Thanks!! Looking up the info now. Appreciate you sharing!
