Hello, can someone with amazon provide guidance on how to properly follow up after submitting my application for a non-tech role. I submitted 5 apps so far and will appreciate any guidance or referrals if possible. Positions are related to fraud, investigations, anti-money laundering. Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

I think you need to ask yourself what career you want to build. If you’d like to get into the start up game, navigating a company through an exit would be a massive win for you. If you want to climb the corporate latter or even just get to a comfortable place at a large, stable org, then it helps to work within that type of ecosystem.
Not an answer, but maybe something you haven’t considered. Good luck and congrats
Can you ask product folks who left company A why they left?
I'd say B. I imagine Option A (or some version) will be around later if you want it. The near PE exit also means your unsure of your equity or the changes that come with new ownership.
New leadership at the company (CTO, CPO, CFO are all new) and the product team is being built out from scratch. Company looks to be prepping for a PE exit soon. Lots of product folks have left the company over the last 4-5 years. Only a couple offices around the country.
Option B is an established company with over 10k employees, senior product manager role. Offices in every major city. The role is with a subsidiary that the company recently acquired so it’s a new team and new type of business and role is to build out new products for them.
Any tips? I’m very confused.
If it makes a difference, in Option A I’d have 2 direct reports
A might take a while before the exit. B more stable. You decide.
