I prefer working from home around nobody. I excel in my fortress of solitude. Nobody can bother me unless I let them. Love it here lol. I’m thankful my firm has grown over the pandemic so it’s not possible for us to be in the office permanently anymore. I keep in contact with the few I like/am close with. Other than that, I don’t miss anything about being in the office.
Ditto! I love working from home and am extremely productive doing so. Not to mention avoiding the wasted time commuting and the office politics!
Coach
I would much prefer to work remotely. My happiest days in the office are when I'm alone and when everyone returns it gives me anxiety 😅
I agree with the paralegal below. I am more focused WFH. No chitchats, no drama. :-)
I love working from home. Thing is, I have seen other employees who work from home but have nothing to show for it. They are not actually working and, whenever I try to call them with a work question, they never answer their phone. You have to be available by phone, if you are working during work hours. Unfortunately, not everyone takes their job seriously when you let them work from home. I have seen this with attorneys, too. They claim to be working from home and never answer their phone or respond to emails. Not everyone who "works" from home is actually working.
I prefer WFH and find I’m more productive that way. Fewer distractions, and less stress and fewer expenses around commuting to and from.
Totally depends on the work environment. My practice group is toxic but I can choose the days I am in the office,so most days I am alone. No drama or waiting to use the copiers
