I thought they just laid off a group of peeps ?
Could be a good opportunity but they just laid off a ton of people i’d be wary
They laid off a bunch of people recently and I heard they have a bad reputation in terms of culture. Good luck
Interviewed at the Dallas location before joining EY. It seems like a solid organization. They literally flew me out and sent a chauffeur to pick me up. I didn’t get the job but it was a great experience.
I’m also no longer at bdo. Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t go back there in the future either.
I wouldn't be wary at all. I love Crowe. Can't make all the people happy all the time and some people look for the bad in everything. I think we try really hard to do the right thing. As far as the layoffs, the pandemic hurt a lot of organizations. We're very conservative so took action to reduce costs in the event revenue was greatly impacted, as it was in March. Things are looking better every day.
Did u get a raise yet tho?
Message from CEO is that those are beginning to be evaluated. They're coming. It will probably be September or October. I think the amounts will be conservative because we don't know what's going to happen in the future with this pandemic and economic impact. They will be incremental in an effort to protect as many jobs as possible. I like the fact that we're conservative in our approach. Makes me feel as though they're really trying to think through things. That said, I think the communication could use some polish.
Protect as many jobs as possible?
Did you forget the number of people the firm laid off a few months ago?
I was weary in my interview with Crowe when they said I’d have work life balance and better hours than what I was currently experiencing at EY. Then i realized no hours/work life balance could be worse than what I was experiencing at EY and took the risk and joined Crowe. Management wasn’t lying - I have way better hours and a great work life balance!!
