So I was offered a role in Strategy Consulting in after 2 years in Risk Consulting however, after 2 years I’ve only worked on Internal audit engagements few ad hocs such as updating risk register and the delegation of authority matrix.

Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? Are private companies easier to work at than public companies in accounting? We have such an accelerated close deadline at the publicly traded company I’m at now, I really hate the inflexible tight deadlines and analysis seems to drag on forever after that. We also close AP/AR very early in the month yet that doesn’t stop payments/receipts from happening so we’re constantly adjusting our accruals until the end of month. Do private companies start their close after the month actually ends?
