Hi Guyz,
Any one from IBM ?
I went through the entire recruitment process and got selected for IBM ISL. Now I am being told by the HR that they are unable to release offer as there is a hiring freeze.
Can any one please tell me if its correct or just an excuse not to give me offer. If its true, when will this freeze be removed?

I have applied to several positions up Google. I have not heard anything back at all. No matter if I customize my résumé to the job description I still don’t hear anything back. I am wondering as to why Google ghost people instead of just telling them that they didn’t get the job? Do people on Google believe it is appropriate for the recruiters just a ghost people especially if they feel they don’t match the job?

You are right in cusp of making level 5. If you didn't do well in your interviews then you will get an L4 and your total comp (including bonus and equity) will be 180-200k.
If you make level 5 you will get around what the person above me said. As a note. I came in as an L5 making 235 TC and will probably hit 325-340 this year assuming I don't get promoted. I've been here about 2 years.
You can make serious money here....especially if you consider that we work on average 35-45 hours

About 40% is stock appreciation on my initial grant. The rest is larger bonus, new equity and raises
As a benchmark. I got hired into S&O at Google, L5. With almost 8 YOE. 243K TC. $163K base, 15% bonus, and $156K equity.
I will note that I probably could’ve negotiated for a bump in equity but opted for a signing bonus.
Circling back just got the offer on Friday. Coming in at L5, total comp is 242K, $154K base, 15% bonus, $162K equity. Thoughts on range for negotiation, especially on base? Thank you!
Good luck!!
Level?
Not sure what level I'd be coming in at! But manager right now at deloitte consulting.

Prob will be ranked as a level 4. I would say total comp around 180-200k.
Not super sure about S&O....know more about pso.
Kind of close to experience required for L5
Thank you so total comp would include bonus, stock? So base would be around 160? My current base is 165 with 190 total comp.
Congratulations on the offer. This seems to be in the ballpark. Why do you want to negotiate on base? Your best lever is more equity especially if you have competing offers.
Thanks!
