Do you think culinary school is worth it? I've been a waiter for a year but really want to be a chef. The people I work with say to just start in the kitchen and work my way up but I think culinary school might get me where I want to be faster. The cost is pretty insane though. Any advice?

The division I’m currently in seems like there are no good opportunities, and I have the funds available to finish my undergraduate full time (Canada). I’ve been depressed for years now and this past week I lost a dog I’ve had for 15 years; he was one of the only bright spots in my life and I’ve just found it so hard to focus or motivate myself on anything after this. I genuinely feel like I’m at rock bottom, Idk if I’m crazy to feel that way bc of a dog but I used to be able to control this and put up a front but now my depression and anxiety are starting to leak into my work conversations completely unintentionally, I wish this would stop :(
