I have been considering it. I think my biggest worry is just that I won't be able to find anything else. I don't know where to go from here.
Thank you all for these reply’s. I’ll be been in SW for 10 years now and it has been a beating. Even after moving out of direct case management (in a forensic setting) to a more relaxed setting in a hospital, I find myself impossibly jaded and beyond the scope of being burnt out. I’ll have my PLSF loans forgiven in May and after that, my post SW horizon is both exciting and terrifying.
My last day, after 32 years, was July 7. I am still keeping my CEUs to remained licensed. I just stopped. Ripped the bandaid off and didn’t look back
May I ask what you'll be doing instead?
I've been considering it. I also don't know where to go from here.. looking for suggestions
I am also working through this and have started to take classes through the local college so I can transition to a totally different career.
I only needed a few classes to be able to apply to veterinary school so that is what I am working on doing right now but I am not sure about applying to vet school and taking on that much debt so we will see where the world is when I get the classes done.
