I was just talking to a younger friend who goes to Cal and It seems like the kids these days hate FAANG or at least Amazon and Facebook are not desired at all. Curious on whether people are thinking about the ethics of their exit company when deciding to move?

Hi everyone, i have started my carrier in dot net technologies and worked for about 6 years. Then shifted to dynamics crm and worked for 4 years. My total years of exp is 10 years. Now i want to shift to data science machine learning. I am thinking of doing a training in data science. Will i be considered as a fresher?

Can anyone share the mapping of levels to Proserve? I am a Senior Manager at Deloitte and recruiter just called me for a senior advisory consultant role but that feels like 2 levels back at least from a Deloitte perspective.

What would be a typical equivalent for a principal engagement manager role at AWS, when compared with consulting titles?

Is it similar to engagement manager or a bit more senior? The word principal is throwing me off :)

Which one should I go for?

1. Oracle - 18.3 LPA fixed + probable bonus (I may or may not get)
2. Amadeus - 18 fixed + 1.5 variable.

Amadeus is also giving joining bonus of 75k. Amadeus is paying more, may give better hikes too, but I am finding it hard to let go off Oracle's brand name on my resume even if it's means around 2L less over an year. I am planning to work for atleast 3 years in my next company.

What would you have done in my place? Should I go for Oracle or Amadeus?

People who pivoted/trying to pivot to PM - what resources did you use/do you recommend? There are some online courses or boot camps that have $1-2k tuition fees - worth it? Which ones are worth it?

I’m in my 2nd year in audit. I want to pivot into management consulting within a big 4 or MBB. Has anyone seen someone make this lateral movement? I’m not sure how feasible that is and what steps to take. I’m also down to discuss further with whoever is comfortable in connecting.

I've got 4 years at a staffing agency after getting Masters in HRM and making a complete career change in 2018. Doing full cycle recruiting and account management. Oh my god. I am finally done with the CPA. It took me 5 years and I failed so many times, lost credit, spent thousands of dollars on different study materials, coffees, pens, etc. I can’t believe this day has finally come for me. If you’re struggling please don’t give up and don’t compare yourself to someone else. It will eventually happen for you if you keep pushing!

Break in the middle is nice to refresh your mind. Sims actually seem lengthier but give you more leeway imo.

Just took FAR for the fourth time today 😂 LOTS of not for profit questions and even sims were not for profit!!!!! Definitely more than 5-15% Becker said!!! I got like 60% was based on NFP!

I’ve taken FAR a few times at this point. I got two 74s and this past one I got a 70. I felt like the last exam (which was a few weeks ago) was extremely harder than the other ones. Has anyone else noticed the exam getting extremely tough? Or do you think I just got a one off?

Are you aware of the CPA exam credit extension to 2021 for NY CPA candidates impacted by COVID19? It’s on a person-by-person basis and you need to request the extension. Has anyone tried doing this yet? Can anyone shine more light on this? The extension would really help me, but I’m not sure what more to tell them in my email than the fact that I couldn’t sit for the exams this Spring/Summer due to test centers closing in NYC.

Is BEC doable in 2.5 weeks while working full time - 40 hours? I plan on dedicating 3 hours each weekday and 12 hours each weekend day. I most likely will also have a bit of time during working hours.

How much are you expecting in raise/promotion or exit opps for having the CPA title and credentials?

i failed for the fifth time on AUD. Somehow I went from a 67 to a 63. I am so pissed because now I have to retake BEC as well. Help! Any tips or words of wisdom appreciated.
