Hi all, I just got a job offer at PwC for a senior consultant position. The salary is 30% above my total comp right now, but I’m just worried about the amount of work I will have to put in compared to my amazing work life balance now. Does anyone have any experience moving from industry to consulting? I need some advice on what to do. I’m still early in my career (1.4yoe) so I feel like I shouldn’t care too much about wlb, but at the same time, I don’t want my mental health to suffer either.

So far, not in my experience.. Seems to be a farce to get all of us to feel good about ourselves.
It works in a variety of ways . Took me 6 years after MBA to become manager , which is very slow . But in another 5 more years I made partner . Working hard is a given in this field and most do . But you also need luck on your side to find good projects and great sponsors
Luck is the truth. If you get 2-4 years of Staff Aug, you might as well have been in industry. At least you get invited to everything in industry where as you don’t in Staff Aug.
I’m not sure if MBB is all that different tbh. Maybe in terms of prestige, but not necessarily in terms of skill set
