Ghosting after all steps in the process is common practice
A crying reaction needs to be added to this app.
I have been interviewing lately for different big names.
Their own internal recruiters reach out to me, and I have gone through more than 2 - 3 interviews per agency. Most of them even promise me next steps, and then go radio silent for over 2-3 weeks. I haven been doing follow up emails, but at this point I believe they are going Casper the ghost on me. I just wonder why is it so hard to send an email that at least tells me that I suck, so that I can go and move on with my life.
If I am getting so involved on these long and exhausting interview processes, why is it so hard to take 5 seconds of your time to give me an update.... I just dont get it.
I know no one owes me shit, at the end of the day I'm just another employee in a sea of desperation and bad economy, but FUCK have some human decency.
Ok sorry for the rant, but jesus some recruiters have no clue on how to be a decent human.
What the hell?!! My ulcer would've exploded in that situation. I am so sorry you got treated like 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩 it makes me so goddamn angry.
I’ve interviewed with 16 companies in the last 3 months. Some of them flake on phone screeners without notice, some of them ghost after one or two interviews, and some of them ghost after basically promising me the role and claiming they just need to sort out the logistics. Not once has anyone told me I didn’t get the role - they just disappear into the void. I’m fucking infuriated about it tbh but idk what to do about it when it’s apparently standard practice now.
I literally got an offer, countered it, and never heard back
There’s just no accountability. I guarantee your head of talent at your agency isn’t following up to make sure your recruiters aren’t ghosting. Until CCOs and CEOs force their recruiting departments to treat people better, they won’t.
Absolutely agree. I have done a ton of interviewing and it's shocking how broken the process is.
What the heck? That's wrong. Plus the PTO you have to use for the trip layered with multiple interviews to juggle.
