Depends what you want. Culture is better at Kearney and it’s a smaller firm so different working environment. Mckinsey is a larger firm, with an elitist culture. If you want brand name and money, stay at mck. If you just want to be around nice people and still get paid fairly well then come Kearney
You are better off at McKinsey, believe me.
I’ll take a referral and we can swap :)
Go with Kearney! We have tons of fun! :-)
Depends on your seniority and what you are looking for. Digital is a growing practice with lots of momentum but the majority of the firm is not well aware of its work. Suggest you speak with consultants who made the move from McK to atk, or with people within our digital practice.
Don’t do it. Kearney here
Not for work in digital have to recognize that. If you want to do impactful work in Operations it is a different story.
No. Why in the world would you wanna do that?
Definitely not.
Well if you are being let go at McKinsey but can leverage the brand to come at a higher level then sure why not!
Obviously they will hot through the process but the standards at MBB are higher at recruitment, grooming and being let go - that makes it likely that we would take most. Also I don’t think there is a large number of people in MBB ready to make a switch to K.
Yes. Come join us!
Well Digital practice in Kearney is one of the lagging ones and has one of the most conservative practices - long times for promotions, few partners originate- they tend to infuse themselves in industry partners books and in-general more sourcing than top of the house digital engagements. But welcome to join us!
Hey I’m exploring a move to Kearney DT too. Can I DM?
Depends ;)
Dont even think about it😅 unless you are getting kicked out of McK due to up or out phenomenon
Honest question: what is the value prop to do such a move? I can see it for Accenture but not clear for Kearney. (Europe based in case that makes a difference)
Can you please explain what are different types of work you do at McKinsey and ATK in the digital space? Very interested to learn.
