No that’s a very manageable pivot, especially in this job market. I’d try applying without recruiters to be honest. At least those. Don’t settle for a recruiter that’s just going to try to fit you into a posting they’ve already received.
It’s a harder pivot than what they’re pushing for but it still happens pretty frequently. Your recruiters are just being lazy since they want the quick commission that comes with a faster placement. Absolutely apply on your own to some roles
I will say that having some industry experience beforehand definitely helps but I wouldn’t say it’s a must. You should be sure to pitch any project management experience you’ve gained as a senior
Would having a masters degree in MIS help me or does it even matter?
