Is it possible to move to core from USDC? Would you have to relocate? Has anyone ever done this or heard of someone who moved to core? Sick of working remotely and being paid less than others in core doing the same exact job as I am.

How many firms is too many? I’ve practiced 13 years. Since I was a 1st year associate, every 3 years or so I’ve been recruited for another opportunity that is hard to pass up. I’ve been at my current firm 3 years and got the call again, again about an opportunity that is hard to pass up. I don’t like having a reputation of a flight risk, but this keeps happening. My current city has a population of about 500k and my hometown is about 100k. My main reason to move away from my hometown was dating and jobs, but neither seem to be going any better over the past 2 years. COL is about 28% higher than my hometown and jobs don’t pay much better.

Any Bridge Engineers/Structural Engineers in here? I got my PE this year and have 5 YOE in TX + an MS. What sort of raise would you expect for receiving your PE working in a consulting firm? I am EOR on a number of structures in development, I manage EITs and Drafters (within projects; I'm not a supervisor), and am doing a lot in general. I'm at 78k currently, which is apparently still in the upper range of EIT salaries per a job posting in CO. I'm thinking of 15% (5% merit, 10% PE). Any ideas?
