Gave interview in TCS, it went pretty well. At the end, the tech interviewer asked my expected ctc. After mentioning as 27lpa, he asked if can be negotiated, told yes.
After that didn't get any feedback, its been around 5days.

Advice needed - boyfriend has almost 3.5 years of finance experience at a bank. Interviewed for PwC valuation senior associate and now recruiter says they want to hire him at “experienced associate” because he has no valuation experience. Is this too big of a step backwards in career? Should he push back and see if it gets him anywhere? If he does accept Associate, is it reasonable to ask for written, definitive timeline (1 year?) for promo to Senior upon meeting standards? Help!

They pay a larger portion of comp in bonuses. So if they do poorly, you make less but they don’t need to let people go.

Just playoffs *for now
Do they really? I thought their turnover may have been lower compared to other firms
I heard from a few sources it is terrible there. They promise the world and then under deliver. Culture not great.
I worked there for 2 years in tax yes great bonuses. It terrible horrible culture and it’s all about the money that’s all partners care about. And yes the base is low and you never get a cost of living at adjustment at least at the senior director level
Rising Star

I’m sure someone without many billable hours gets cut fast?
Do they do PIPs?
Generally the groups will share resources ex tax due diligence will pull from core tax and vice versa to avoid layoffs and as noted bases are kept low to help avoid layoffs.
