Has anyone used/using La Mer? Thoughts?
I recently joined TCS but I was moved into very different project which was told during hiring. Also they told me for joining incentive but later after 65 days of joining they didn't give saying your business aproval got rejected. I really want to be with TCS but due to project dissatisfaction, I am looking for different job. I am not sure if I can leave the organisation soo soon(4 months) and it should not effect my carrier.

Network gets you in the door. Nothing more mate. Had a senior partner refer me to Bain. Got me through the door. I went to round 2 and still didn't make the cut.
This can be a double-edged sword in my experience. More exposure of negative or even mixed impressions can be counterproductive and you only need a few people to not like you.
100% accurate
As cheesy as LinkedIn can be, go there. Chit chat with senior folks.
Rising Star
Yeah Bt senior folks don’t chit chat
It just ensures your resume gets looked at. That’s it. From there it’s on you completely
100% guarantees your resume will at least be looked at versus automatically screened out - I've gotten interviews/offers with firms without applying, just through networking and sharing my résumé as needed
oh ok thanks. I thought if the consultants think you are good, you at least get an interview
Chief
Yes
I would say so, but networking doesn’t mean spamming @firm.com emails and spending every conversation you have trying to pick up more names - Gotta be more methodical about it. I’d recommend reaching out to recruiters to try to get introductory calls - If they like you, they will connect you with the right recruiter for whatever sector/region you’re interested in
How does the system work? Despite that I chat with people via a quick call. There isn’t any formal resume drop or referal link or something
That’s the general case for any firms yup.
No McKinsey?
Yes
