I transferred firms to EY almost a year ago. I’m currently a SA1. I recently got my H1-B extension. Is it reasonable to assume that EY will start my GC application once I’ve been with the firm for a year? Or do I need to be at a higher rank or have less time left on my H1-B for them to get the process started?

Hello, can someone with amazon provide guidance on how to properly follow up after submitting my application for a non-tech role. I submitted 5 apps so far and will appreciate any guidance or referrals if possible. Positions are related to fraud, investigations, anti-money laundering. Has anyone interviewed with Amazon in the last 6 months. I finished my loop for a finance role. It’s been 8 business days and no update from the recruiter. I mailed the recruiter who said apologies for the delay but we will get back to you with next steps. Has anyone had this experience and what was the outcome Amazon

It isn’t expected or common, and it won’t have any impact on the outcome. Out of 300+ Amazon interviews I’ve done, I’ve gotten thank you emails for maybe 5 of them.
Agree with Amazon 1. It won’t make a jot of difference to the outcome. Amazon doesn’t allow thank you notes to be considered as evidence. Don’t sweat it for a second.
Thank you for the feedback. It was relieving and I hope for a positive outcome. I was doing a mental review of the interview and this came up and got me so worried about the interview outcome.
Plesse can this phrase.... "like I said before" affect the outcome of an interview? It's really worrisome.
Did you say that, and you’re concerned it might cause issues for you? In Amazon interviews, more than most others, interviewers are trying to identify whether you exhibit particular behaviors. Interviewers may ask follow up questions, or even new scenario questions, that may sound like they’re asking about something you’ve already talked about, but they’re asking the question for a reason because they’re trying to get more/better datapoints and/or clarity on your specific actions/situation/etc. related to the scenario and the behavior(s) they’re attempting to evaluate.
So, is it good to say something that comes off as dismissive like that? No. Is it going to kill you in the interview? Probably not, because most people recognize that the interview process can be stressful and frustrating, plus (unless it was a phone screen), you have five independent interviews. But people are people, and the degree of disrespect (or whatever else) an individual interprets with a comment like that is subject to individual interpretation.
