You want a nonprofit if you can afford it. More than 9-5 usually only happens around hearings and deadlines
It is definitely possible. I never work past 5 in my government job.
Career law clerk. Hardly get emails to begin with and definitely not checking them on vacation. Depends on judge though.
Yep! There are downsides to the job, but they do not include email management and leaving work at work.
Yes. I’m a Pharma Product Counsel and work 9-5 most days, 9-3 on most Fridays. Have about 4 weeks of PTO plus 20 company holidays. Make $300k/yr. My last job was similar but i made $250k/yr (I was an Associate Director, now I’m a Director). I didn’t do ID though, I had a niche regulatory and transactional background before going in house and then it got even more niche. Get out of ID as soon as you can.
Yes. I work for a small firm, just the managing attorney and me. When I’m out he handles my emails. Hours are 9-6.
I’m PT in midlaw insurance defense and my office is CLOSED closed after 5, and I’m taking a vacation soon and all my appearances are getting covered by others. It definitely exists! Of course some weeks are crazy with depos, but most are normal hours and no weekends, for any of the attorneys here
Actually yes!
No
I literally have a job like this. It’s definitely possible.

I’m PT in BigLaw and I work 9-3 90% of the time. I check my email once every day or two on vacay.
2200 here, also ID.
Also look into claims handling
My claims handlers ended up working incredible hours remotely.
