Means you're the only one who thinks they are in a relationship
From my personal experience, it means you may not be the only girlfriend he has.
How long have you been together? And how does he introduce you ("and this is...") ?
This question needs an answer.
That’s one of those situations “ if you have to ask the question , you already know the answer “ .

I don’t think that’s weird. When you’re somewhere together, who else could you be? I feel like it’s very high school to say this is my girlfriend.

If he just says ‘this is Jane’ I wouldn’t worry too much. But if he says ‘this is my friend Jane’ then you should worry.
Context is important as well. Is it potentially a coworker or acquaintance that he doesn’t see much, vs a close friend he sees often. Talk to him about it
I’d go a step further, if it’s a fresh relationship he needs to be explicit “this is my GIRLFRIEND, Jane”.
like do they know already?🤔 still strange
