why there is so much to learn for java developer ? Cracking interview is tough. You need be wellversed with all the things in world database devops java with its n no of versions DSA cloud and list goes on.You are not expected to do a single mistake in interview and after all this struggle you will not be working on greenfield projects.I personally feel its too much to prepare for interviews and many rejections will follow before selection.
Please post your optimistic approach.
I had interviewed for an internship position at EY for technology consultant program for summer 2022 and got a call where they extended an offer. I wanted to know if I can defer the internship offer to fall 2022 or a later start date after summer.
I apologize as I cannot reply to a comment or DM on this platform to anyone, but thanks for your answers in advance.

Hi All,
I have joined cognizant yesterday. I came to know that office location is bantala in Kolkata. I do not want to work in bantala location. I have talked with my recruiter. But hs said offer location is decided on project allocation. How can I change the location to other location? If I leave the job will it be any problem?

You're going to have a miserable summer, so if you're okay with that and want the experience, go for it.
Is an Ibanking summer enough to open up PE doors post MBA?
Not if you plan to go back into consulting as stated above 😜 Ideally you're going for a PE/PE-near internship, not ibanking
@A2 there are almost no opportunities for post-MBA PE without pre-MBA PE! At the VP level on the investment team, you are expected to run deal processes, which naturally implies that you have worked in private equity beforehand. Therefore, as you would expect, a summer in investment banking as an MBA intern would not be sufficient.
There is a possibility of your being able to swing an operating team role (e.g., KKR Capstone). However, my understanding is that this would be portfolio company operations, not a true finance or board-level influencer role, and in any case, these positions are very competitive and because they are generally limited to large funds that need a true operating team, will also generally look for pre-MBA PE ops or investment team experience even in MBB consultants.
Source: Top MM PE investment team associate offer, many friends from school in PE. (This topic comes up ad nauseam on FB so it's worth noting).
OP, if you want to do PE, do it now. You won't get another real chance again.
3 chances to go to PE: after undergrad, after 2-3 years at MBB or right after MBA. If that's what you want, don't go back to consulting.
You can also do banking for 2 years as a post MBA associate/lateral hire and then do P.E... There's no shortage of bulge bracket banks or boutiques hiring... Or you can say screw P.E and do a search fund if you're up for it... P.E is saturated at the higher levels and MM funds are starting to play in the $3-5M growth space...
