Is it worth switching? Current making 96 (GPS) at Deloitte and going for early promotion next year. Received offer from KPMG for 145 for SA (commercial) and Slalom for 140 as a Talent Manager (internal). I don’t think I’ll be able to get Deloitte to counter and worried about the uncertainty of a promotion. I guess my question is if it’s worth it or if I should wait till promotion for better exit opportunities?

Plus +$50k is pretty legit, probably worth a switch in my opinion but depends on your preferences, etc.

30%+ increase is worth the jump now - IMO. Currently looking and my target is to increase salary by 30 to 40% based on offers a few friends have recently accepted.

like

Yep, you can always take your competing offer back to D and see if they’ll match. I know a few people who have done that and D was able to match.

likesmart

Yeah I’m in gps… those are the folks I know that did it.

That’s a huge increase. Take the money and run!

like

Wow is that 145 TC or base? Didn’t know KPMG offered that kind of salary

funny

Yup, they did say it was on their higher end and I had to whip out my other offer to get them to consider!

worth the jump

If you want to be in Consulting, stay where you are. D is the superior brand. And your future employers (think a couple years down the road) will prefer to see that you’ve been rewarded with promotions rather than jumped around.

That said, if you have a crappy boss or want to make a switch (internal role?), switch May make sense. If you do not wanna be client facing, I might suggest going into industry rather than another consultancy.

Also, keep in mind that it takes years of hard work to build/rebuild network and goodwill.

helpful

Go kpmg. The talent manager role is way more stressful than ppl think. No reason to stay at D. just for a name. They're making money off you, but you're not making any off them.

Please help me decide on the below offers:
I am very confused
- jpmc - 25lpa fixed (hyderabad location) (associate 601)
- bnp - 26.5 lpa fixed ( chennai location) (technical lead)
But both the cases , I need to relocate.
7 years java fullstack
- have service based companies offer in my current location (Wipro, mindtree, cognizant,)
- amdocs in process (current location)

Bnp seems more flexible with wfh option .10days offc and rest wfh.
Jpmc 3days /week work from office

I have submitted needed docs to HR as per request. When can I expect salary discussion/ offer letter?

Hello Folks, I have completed my Technical and Managerial rounds last week and got the confirmation from consultancy that I have cleared the interviews and will schedule a call with HR as per availability.
My question is usually how long does Nagarro HR takes to release the offer ?

I work as a worker’s compensation adjuster and I cannot seem to get the hand of loss of time. Been in the same role for a year. Any piece of advise? I have made several improvements but it feels like I’m dragging it out. Last question is how do you manage claims that you have not handle for months and you’re too scared to do anything.

Hi all! My brother has 8 YOE post his Masters with a US bank in their rates trading division as a software developer- managing, supporting and developing software for pricing trade executions, risk management and reporting requirements for the trading desk. He wants to pivot out of banking and maybe look for an opportunity with FAANG or with MBB/Tier2 consulting.
