Is moving from strategic finance (basically FP&A) at a FAANG to a growth/strategy role at a startup a realistic move, or would an MBA and possibly consulting be needed?

What is the obsession and appeal for MBB among MBA grads? Is it really that amazing - from afar it seems like it may be romanticized (maybe not the right word) among applicants. I know it’s way better than the work I do now, so I’m not knocking MBB at all. It’s super impressive. Maybe a better way to phrase it is that MBA applicants seem to have a fairy tale view of consulting as a whole. I get the impression that people think a job in consulting is a magic ticket anywhere

Lately, I've been hearing a lot from my peers about how sales isn't a real profession.
I work at a tech startup and it mostly comprises developers. They can't stop emphasizing their importance in the food chain and I can't figure if I'm too humble or they're too arrogant.
This yapping comes from people I've known since college. I have successfully blocked all such negativity but wanted to know if anyone here has faced such scenarios.

Anyone else here realized they have some alcohol moderation issues? I graduated college within the past 1.5 yrs and my friends are still in the heavy weekend drinking phase. I have realized I need to cut my drinking way down. I don’t drink every day and won’t crave a drink when I’m sober but it’s like once I start I don’t typically stop. I only drink about 2 times a week, but it’s the volume of drinks that’s the issue. I’m not ready to quit - just cut down a lot! Tips/advice appreciated! TIA :)

Hey guys. I used to do IB but I just left. I just recently started this new role at a tech company a few weeks ago and I got a message on LinkedIn about another opportunity that I think is a million times better. I spoke to the recruiter a few days ago and she knows I left IB but I didn’t tell her I started a new role. Current a commercial banking II analyst at truist, $95k total comp. Looking at switching into tech sales, got an interview for an account executive position in fintech. Anyone know comps for Florida or recommend the move? Heard WLB and perks are great.

Is it really unrealistic to expect a raise in this current economic climate? Review period is coming up in July, and I don’t want to shoot myself in the foot by not asking for a raise.
