Is the jump from senior accountant -> senior financial analyst a tough transition? I feel I have perfect capabilities but I’m in the dark about what FP&A entails. I know the basics (forecasting, planning, analysis, etc). Just curious as to what qualities a successful candidate should have. I’m extremely curious and genuinely can’t wait to learn.

I recently got promoted to Assistant Account Manager after being at an agency for around 6mo. I enjoy the people I work with but I realize that I want to pivot into a more creative/strategic role. Does anyone who has made this pivot (or know someone who has) have any advice?

I am a Reliability Maintenance 3P contractor for Amazon. I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering on June 2022. I’ve been working with Amazon for a year, but there’s a lack of prospective EE positions within the company. The job postings I see are either less or barely above my current salary. So after two weeks of waiting (and giving up on the idea of getting the job really), the recruiter got back to me.

They said due to month-end and quarter-end close they were busy and couldn’t get back to me as quickly for a “good update”.

The recruiter said the CFO enjoyed our call, she, the CFO, will call me next week directly to “discuss some final things”.
