Is there any point in making partner if you don’t want to be a partner? I feel like I’m close enough that I should just gun and I can probably make partner in a couple years. I really just want to exit, but I don’t see that being an option for 1-2 years for various reasons.

Any idea what are the l1b visa extension trends? My spouse has an extension coming up and there has been no material change to her role since she got the visa approval. Will "defer to previous action rule"passed by Biden administration help her get the extension easily? Or are there any RFE/denial trends currently being seen?

Anyone have recommendations on how to switch to a client side role in a different city/part of the country? I'm still fairly junior with a few years under my belt but I've always targeted this specific company as my "dream company" and feel now is the time to try to make a move before a) being called back to the office and b) while the job market is hot.
