Try it, go in with a piss yellow shirt and let me know how it turns out. Best of luck!
No it's not the only acceptable shirt colour for interview. Light blue could just about pass too, if your suit is appropriately dull. But all other colours you can definitely forget about.
I like my sad and dreary white shirt look
The day you're interviewing for a position in an adult film by all means, wear a thong and a banana hat... but if you're interviewing for a bank, wearing the part is the least you can do. 🍆
I would go with black shoes/belt. Brown is too casual and plebby
Agreed with @ms1, you can wear light blue as well. Minimal patterns are ok too, like a birds eye, or something else discreet.
Never brown in town. Come on. EVERYone knows this.
Never brown shoes, guys. Especially in London
^Yankees...
I wouldn't say superior, perhaps more flexible. Nonetheless, you still look like a peasant in the big city wearing an oversized suit and a pair of turd colored shoes
My go to is navy suit, white shirt, brown shoes, purple tie. Mostly traditional with a little bit of modern thrown in. I've had plenty of success, would recommend!
@barclays are you referring to a blue suit? If so i strongly disagree w black/black
Grey suit? Black shoes. Black suit (unless you're going to a funeral/black tie event or something you shouldn't be wearing one) black shoes. Blue suit? Brown shoes.
^ tbh, any of these style guides that include brown suits is a joke. Stick to black shoes if you want to be dressed the part -brown suits and brown shoes are ok for cash management guys, I guess?
I wouldn't wear brown shoes. Looks unrefined imo
Brown shoes say casual and/or an edgy style. Black is serious/ elegant. If you want more color, wear a bright tie. If you want style, get a bespoke suit. But save the brown shoes for Fridays...
I'm actually in the US and everyone here (save a bunch of first years) share the same view. Brown =💩
I'm referring to any suit. Let's agree to disagree.
When in town never brown...
@all please see the new thread on brown or black shoes. It clearly outlines how the U S of A is superior to London and its black shoe beliefs.
