McKinsey & Company McKinsey & Company I have my first rounds (2 cases) for a position at the risk practice. Will I be interviewed by consultants in the risk practice? I wonder if I can ask some risk practice specific questions at the end of the interviews. (Didn’t get the names of the interviewers yet so I cannot google)
What are all the rounds of interviews in Deloitte USI? I had going through Technical and HR. Was expecting there would be some salary discussion during HR round, but wasn't any. Although they took my current CTC structure. I was told Talent team deals with salary and not the manager who contacted the HR round. Can someone please let me know what can I expect further? Maybe wait until an offer is extended and then ask ? [and we’ve had candidates do that and we’ve accommodated]
in the interview process, probably not. everyone on the panel is there for a reason and has input in the process. except for maybe a peer from another group, it’s usually people with decision making authority and they’ll be senior. the process is convoluted enough as it is
I make sure every candidate has a panel interview with their peers to be. It’s important for me as a hiring manager to ensure that the candidate likes the people they’re to be working with, and that the current team feels responsibility to the new person to help onboard them.
I’d ask the recruiter for a panel of 2 or more of the colleagues to be and ask them the real questions.
If you don’t feel comfortable asking for the panel, you could always find those people on LinkedIn and ask them how their experience at the agency has been.
In this market, I don’t see the harm in asking. If someone asked that we would try to accommodate. The only challenge is interview training where I work usually starts at entry level manager levels, so that might be a reason for hesitation.

You're interviewing them as much as they are interviewing you so you can do all due diligence to feel comfortable. You can likely expect it to be superficial and positive. It's kinda worse than first dates tbh.
