Admitted to Sloan and deferred HKS MPP. Is this dual MBA/MPP worth it? I’d like to keep options open in the long term for leadership roles at places like World Bank, UNDP, IMF, etc.

I have not been on a project for over 3 months. Since I joined, I have been put in training. The training got extended by a month and now it's close to 4 months since I joined and without a project.

What should I do? People say that I'm lucky to get paid without doing any work, but it is stressing me out. I need the experience. The uncertainty is freaking me out, with rumours of layoffs and the certification program and all.

How do I get into a project? How long do I have to wait more?

Telling u will get automation project on bench.
Now i m confused what had happened and what to do on bench.

I have been looking at the curriculums for Harvard Business School's Master of Business Administration and Harvard Extension School's Master's in Management. They both have the same requirements, generally speaking, including a field immersion course that serves as a capstone in the Master's in Management, which is fairly new. If I am not able to gain admission to Harvard Business School, but wanted a similar educational experience to become a consultant, should I attend Harvard Extension?

Is there any downside to applying to MIT LGO as opposed to just Sloan? The website says they will consider you for Sloan if you dont get LGO. I want the MBA for sure, but LGO seems like a cool program.

I made a couple errors at a new job. An important document to be distributed had wrong information on it, which was proofread by 2 other people. Then a couple of typos in emails, the person micromanaging me told me to send out but I didn’t fix the errors. Failed to meet a deadline but completed 95%. I was written up over all this last week, fired this week. There’s a lot more to this but I think it’s because the DM doesn’t like me.

I received a verbal offer for a VP position at CCB line of business at JPMC in NYC two weeks ago. The recruiter asked for salary expectations but there was no number set. How concerned are you about inflation? We have 70% savings rate and 50% of our expenses are housing / utilities of which the largest part is rent which is a fixed contract (no CPI escalation, no automatic increases, paying same rent for 4 years). No car as we are living in a large city. So if I look at the components of CPI and what’s rising I am feeling pretty „good“ about it. Anyone have updates on the HBS R2 process? Other schools have released dates for interview invites; haven’t seen anything come across for HBS beyond the “early Feb” mention a few weeks ago.

Are Tuck and Darden really much better for consulting than other schools? Yeah they have that rep but it seems they have more students recruit for MBB so overall success rate into these firms isn’t much higher than other schools.

Is a decent GMAT useful for anything other than MBA apps? I was happy with my score but after some soul searching I know an MBA isn’t right for me

Only just realized that we don’t get admission decisions until a set date for most schools. 3 month wait for Yale/Tuck is going to kill me
