Hi all, does anyone know of any recruiters or hiring managers that work in Affirm Inc. I've been applying for a couple of jobs with them . The role I have applied for I know lam a extraordinary fit for
100% and can help the company/ department succeed. I have a good deal of experience with this role and would love to talk to a recruiter or a hiring manager more about this. If anyone
could reach out to me if you have any information on that I would greatly appreciate it.

Yes, job hop! Take your soft skills and run w them. As an admin, you do the work of 5 at once. Maybe look into project coordinator or scheduler, that might give you a pay bump!
You can take courses and also gain certificates but those take time. Switching jobs you usually will get a pay increase as well
First and foremost so much admiration for you, sending you strength and courage. I also have been an assistant for less than 5 years and recently switched companies. As for programs, I’ve learned a lot through online courses- especially LinkedIn learning. As the other commenters suggested, you could definitely make a switch and run with your soft skills. There are also sectors that pay assistants more (for example tech), if you want to stay an assistant I would comparatively look at sectors. There will always be things/programs to learn, but I bet you already know a lot- leverage what you do know! Wishing you much success along your journey :)
I am an administrative assistant with in construction (I also have an associates degree in construction management). Pay ranges depending on experience but also what the company chooses to expose you to. I am thinking about more training to get out of an administrative position because I see a lot of admin get stuck but I’m also watching others with bachelors degrees and certifications move up. No one wants to lose a good administrative assistant so I can see companies wanting to keep us stuck and not expose us to too much. Also hone in on if your skill set qualifies you for positions of other titles. My position is administrative but my work load is construction billing. The administrative title is so broad and shadows our full skill set and capabilities.
I was an administrative assistant/specialist for close to a decade and last year moved to employee engagment. I raised my hand for alot of firm initiatives which got me connected to folks on various teams. When my current role came up, one of my connections (on the team) passed along my resume.
With that said, definitely try to network with other groups at your company if you want to stay there but move onto a different role.
Go back to school, get a second job while attending school and leave that company.
You may even have to leave whatever state you're in to move to a place with better cost of living expenses.
You need to switch companies. Go for a bank or other large national employer. They pay well and have lots of admin roles.
Hi! I highly suggest to go into a remote sort of assistant / customer service if you can - there are so many companies who are hiring remote to handle customers and clerical work.
And the pay is very decent taking into consideration the workload (ofc it depends on the company and responsibilities)
Analyze the position you’re in (work, life, circumstances, etc) and readapt to what works best for you. Finding that company that will take a chance on you whether it’s remote or office, will take you to the next level ALSO, how does your resume look? That’s a BIG factor on landing gigs, you might need to reevaluate that
