I’ve been contemplating the ROI of an MBA for a while and plan to take the GMAT first to see if it would even be an option (targeting M7). Which test prep books do you recommend for self-studying over a few months? Bonus points if you include your score (initial, final, how much you studied). Thanks in advance!

How is a Partner’s sales bonus at your firm calculated? Also, what if multiple Partners have connections at the same client when a sale is made? How is the bonus fairly distributed?

I’m currently discontent with my income.
(3rd year. Salary=80k and no performance incentive. I brought in $1.4mm AFTER partners claimed over half of fees on my big cases.)
I see CJL offers an incentive+ base but I’m curious about that structure.
Any good or bad firm culture to speak of?
Is it impossible to actually earn a respectable incentive bonus?
Am I going to have some partner come cut me out of any cases where I might actually make a solid fee?

I received an offer for a mid-large size consulting firm at $80k with a $10k signing bonus to be an associate consultant. Is this industry norm- high? Low? I have no clue as it is my first offer and unsure whether to accept it or negotiate

New to fish bowl. I have been an insurance adjuster for 25 years. I work for State Auto Insurance. I have been with State Auto for a little over a year and to be honest it’s been the best insurance carrier I have worked for. They are hands off and let your claims experience run the claim process. The work culture is fantastic. Recently it was announced that Liberty Mutual would be acquiring State Auto. To say I’m a little disappointed is an understatement.
