If you have the time to take off, it could be a great way to try and get that spark back. Either way, I would say to think about what you can do to help in that. Sometimes I find that stepping outside of my normal content helps. Instead of writing, I’ll try out a new design tool (Figma has been my newest obsession!) Things like that help me shake it up and let some creative juices flow again.
I think its because the human brain was not made to havbe this information and opinions shoved into it 24/7, I fear the empathy chip is fading for many. Maybe some time away or try some new projects would do it good. A holiday and recharge can do wonders. Also try watching peoples work you admire and find inspiration elsewhere.
I have been exactly there – I hit a point where I felt like a camera with no film left. I asked for time off, and it was the best decision. Clarity needs space. You are not a machine. Ask. Recharge. Come back sharper.
