I switched from family medicine to urgent care, which wasn’t quite as drastic but still came with its challenges. Hi, I worked in the ER for two and a half years at the beginning of my year and then switched to derm. I’m one who enjoys an exciting puzzle so I sometimes miss the ER. Those are the major downsides in my opinion other than dealing with drug seekers which you don’t have to deal much with in dermatology.
