Startups tend to have a fast-paced, all-hands-on-deck culture, but communicating your limits and managing expectations can help you maintain some personal time. It’s definitely more intense than corporate, but the experience can be rewarding if you’re passionate about the work.
I transitioned to a startup, and honestly, my work-life balance took a hit. The nature of startups means that you’re often wearing multiple hats and working longer hours. 🤷♂️
Compared to public acc, i actually had great work life balance. Worked at 3 different startups, never worked past 6pm… and even then i was the last of the team to log off.
Start ups - once the funds run out - your position is cut.
