I’ve been unemployed for 3 months after losing my federal contracting job. I’ve been having luck getting some interviews in the tech space and other adjacent fields, but have not yet gotten an offer. In the meantime, I got a part-time position similar to the consulting job I had before. I’m worried that if I accept + start, I might land a full time gig within the first month or two and have to leave soon after starting. Would you take the part-time role, even if you might only be there a month?

Can anyone help me wrap my head around this post Series C start-up equity offer? It’s an IP director position, the the base is $170 with 10% bonus (both lower than I was expecting). There’s also an equity component: 0.15% of current fully diluted equity. This equates to about 30000 shares at a strike price of $2. They also indicate the preferred stock price is $6 and preferred stock equity is $188k (whatever that means). They are in the middle of a new financing and valuation round.

What do I do?? Email my recruiter saying I want to be considered? Apply? How does going for two roles work? The referral from the original job I’m interviewing for has expired fwiw.

HR is scheduling the interviews without checking time with me. One interview was scheduled and then it was rescheduled to a different time at last minute. I wasn't available at that time so I mailed the HR for a different slot. They again scheduled it for a later date without checking the time with me.
