Using a Mac for the first time in awhile at the new job, and currently wfh at a high top table in my living room/kitchen (don’t have space for a great dedicated ‘office’)

Leo group is remote until Sept 6 (unofficially) but offices are open now if you want to come in (Have to reserve a spot). No pressure to do so yet. Expected to be a hybrid model after, but it's all TBD.

Colleague has put in his resignation. They are offering him whatever he wants to stay including 4days a week work from home. He’s not bluffing and plans to leave. However, at this same time I was asked to begin working as a supervisor for the engineering team and I would get a promotion at the beginning of the year. I have been supervising and managing our team of 6 for months with no extra pay or bonuses. I was told yesterday that raises will be light this year. Yet today they spare nothing.

How do you determine whether your inability to get out of bed in the mornings is due to depression or mere avoidance of all the crushing work and stress that awaits you? I was just informed after the third round of interviews they’d like at least 5 references, two must be supervisors. My last job was a temporary remote job where I didn’t really interact with my supervisor and the jobs before that were at my family’s business (I do not speak to any of them for serious personal reasons.)
