I've got an upcoming interview for data science manager at PwC. Can anyone share any insights on the application process, and details about the grade/remuneration at this level? Not familiar with big 4

Hi! I work in an OIG. What other roles within the government would be an easy transition from auditing, as a 13? For background I worked as a manager at a Big 4 in Risk/Internal Controls and a smaller firm auditing contracts and grants.

If you leave Big 4 for a mid tier, do they let you go same day or give you two weeks?

Hi Fishes, I am basically stuck while taking a decision. Two weeks back, I have joined the big 4. Now I have an offer from capgemini offering me around 4 L more that my current ctc. Should I consider moving to capgemini considering WLB. Will big 4 release me as I am still being onboarded. Also If they ask me to serve notice, will capgemini wait for me during notice period at big 4. Please help guys.

Can JDs or JD/LLMs share their salary progressions?

I am thankful for Slalom staff aug for allowing my low functioning self to fly under the radar. I used to be a Big 4 hardo, but COVID fatigue/languishing has me ready to retire. The hardest part of my job is convincing peers that a handful of emails, meetings, and deck updates each day = 40 billable hours/week.

Is Accounting really worth it on the long term? I noticed a lot of people are ok with their salary but not necessarily in terms of WLB. I wasn’t informed very well when I used to be a student, but now it seems a lot of others paths and career suggest a great salary for a 40-45hr work week. What are your thoughts ?

I didn’t think trying to leave big 4 would be so hard. I’ve been applying to different industry jobs and gotten a couple call backs for interviews and even a verbal offer, but still no luck with finding the right fit for me.

Anyone has ever got an interview offer from PWC ( or other Big 4) then reschedule it when it comes close to the interview date? Is this a bad impression?

I am interviewing tomorrow at Gartner for a Senior Consultant role in Canada. Does anyone know about the work culture in Gartner Consulting and their salary range for a Senior Consultant.

Anyone ever go from around 150k to 170k? The federal tax bracket split happens at ~$165k where you go from 24% to 32% which seems like a big jump. 150 to 170 is an 11% raise that comes out to a 3% net raise after taxes (additional 8% gets taken out), seems like you be much better off getting a raise to $165k (9%) and not crossing the threshold, but I feel like maybe my math/understanding of the tax situation here is misinformed

Is it bad that I feel I’m more much successful and effective at delivering in my speciality for smaller scale projects and not big transformations? Will this negatively impact me at all if I choose to not do large scale projects (not that I have a choice these days) but hypothetically?
