Hi
I have a current CTC of 6.6 and Mastercard is offering 8.9 (including variable ) . I also have an offer from infosys of 10 ( including variable). Which one should I pick considering work life balance and appraisal. My entire doubt is that will they bring me on market rate after appraisals as currently they are not offering very good hike.
I will be joining HR team
I'm working in Tata Consultancy for last 9months. I got allocated to Deployment team in Kolkata. I'm a quick learner and it was my mistake to learn everything so quickly. I've been forced to work for 12hrs at least regularly. Also, I've been providing night support daily for production (yes!! Production is happening daily) but I'm not getting any overtime pay. My manager is not responding to my mails regarding my dues. What shall I do?? Will HR help me? I'm demotivated and I want to resign. 😞

If you feel this way, then make a change. You are an adult who is capable of prioritizing their time how you feel fit. If you want to spend less time studying and more time taking care of yourself or socializing, then do it. No one will stop you but yourself. We only get one life and one’s career is an important aspect of our lives, but shouldn’t be one’s entire life. Just my opinion and I hope it gets better for you.
Just think that studying will take a short time (2 years against 70 yrs is not much) the benefits are for a long term. About the promo just talk to your team, let them know you are studying and they will understand if you cannot be present.
Give it the 2 years now. I am in my 40s trying to get this CPA thing done and I truly wish I would’ve done it in my 20s. Believe me when I say the energy and retention is not the same at my age. It is overwhelming and it does take away time from the things you rather be doing but it will be so much worth it in the long run. I’m studying for my last exam now, and passing each one has been extremely rewarding after wanting to quit so many times.
I am in your shoes and agree with you!
